The subcompact SUV is an ideal choice when you’re wanting a little more power and space, in an easy-to-maneuver vehicle. However, the possibilities seem endless and it can get overwhelming to choose just one. We looked at some of their basic features at David Dodge to try and help.

When comparing subcompact SUVs, we looked at the 2018 Jeep® Renegade, 2018 Chevrolet Trax, and 2018 Mazda CX-3. After comparing, we can confidently say that the Jeep Renegade is your best option.

The Jeep SUV has four trim level options including Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. It has options for a 1.4L or 2.4L four-cylinder engine. The latter generates 180 horsepower and 184 torque, the highest of the group. It is also has a six-speed manual transmission and is the only one with an option for a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Jeep Renegade is the largest subcompact SUV of the group and has the largest passenger volume at 100 cubic feet. Yet, it still has the largest maximum luggage volume at 50.8 cubic feet, so there’s room for your family, plus all their stuff. Convenience is key in the Jeep Renegade. It’s the only one in the group that comes standard with a Keyless Go USB port and proximity key, a tire mobility kit, mini overhead storage, and a glovebox light. It’s also the only SUV of the group with two front LCD screens and two 12-volt DC power outlets.
