Dodge has done a great job of continuing to breathe new air into the Dodge Challenger platform. Over the years since the Dodge Challenger debuted in 2008 as a 2009 year model, there have been several trim levels and refinements to the styling and demeanor of the Dodge Challenger coupe. A lot of the additions to the timelines and model refinements have been focused on the performance of this modern muscle car. One of the most anticipated new cars for sale coming in the form of a 2019 year model is the much publicized 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Earlier in October, the very first of the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye production cars started to roll off the assembly line, and this model is a great addition to the Dodger Challenger SRT Hellcat heritage. This car comes in nearly a decade after the introduction of the Dodge Challenger. It also comes a year after the limited run of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon; this is a model that dominated headlines as a 840 horsepower street car that was made with the drag strip in mind.

The 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye packs more horsepower than the standard Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The engine powering the special edition is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that is rated at 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. Backing the powerful engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission and high-performance torque converter. The car is said to sprint to 60 miles per hour in 3.5-seconds with a top speed of 203 miles per hour. To pair with the high-performance characteristics of the car are many supporting appearance and functional features.

With it rolling off the assembly line in October, it’s only a matter of time before it reaches auto dealerships. We can’t wait for it to arrive at David Dodge so we can experience its power. Make sure to stop by so you can get behind the wheel too!
